Everyday Spanish

Learn the Spanish You Need to Live in Spain

Lessons focused on what you will actually face: renting a flat, booking a doctor's appointment, dealing with the bank, understanding official letters and talking to your neighbours.

Moving to Spain and discovering that textbook Spanish sounds nothing like the health centre, the landlord or a phone call is a very common experience. Everyday life moves faster, people use expressions nobody taught you, and much of the paperwork happens over the phone, which is the hardest part of all.

I live in Spain and have spent over ten years teaching people from other countries, many of them in the middle of settling here. We prepare the exact situations ahead of you, with the vocabulary and phrases that are genuinely used.

What you will achieve

Real situations, not theory

We rehearse the conversation before you have it: the call, the appointment, the viewing, the office visit.

The Spanish spoken here

Everyday expressions, when to use tú or usted, and how to politely ask someone to repeat themselves.

More independence

You handle your own affairs instead of relying on someone to come along and translate.

Settling in faster

Talking to neighbours, colleagues and friends changes the whole experience of living here.
